Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") supplements the Apollo Companion Terms of Service and Community Guidelines and sets specific rules governing how the Apollo Companion Platform, its infrastructure, and its services may be used. This AUP applies to all users, including registered users, beta testers, and any person accessing the Platform.

1. Permitted Use

1.1 You may use Apollo Companion solely for its intended purposes: personal vehicle garage management, automotive research, parts tracking, community engagement with other builders, and use of AI-assisted features for personal automotive planning.

1.2 Use of the Platform is subject to compliance with all applicable local, state, federal, and international laws and regulations.

2. Prohibited Activities

2.1 Platform Integrity

You may not:

• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Platform, its systems, servers, databases, or infrastructure;
• Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Platform or any connected systems without written authorization from the Company;
• Circumvent, disable, or interfere with security-related features of the Platform;
• Bypass, defeat, or circumvent the beta invitation system or access controls;
• Use automated means (bots, scrapers, crawlers, scripts) to access or interact with the Platform without express written authorization;
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Platform's software or systems;
• Access or attempt to access another user's account without authorization;
• Introduce any virus, trojan horse, worm, malware, ransomware, or other malicious code to the Platform.

2.2 AI Feature Abuse

You may not use Apollo AI or any AI-powered feature to:

• Generate content that violates these policies or applicable law;
• Attempt to extract or reveal proprietary system prompts, model parameters, or internal AI configurations;
• Engage in prompt injection, jailbreaking, or other techniques intended to circumvent AI safety measures;
• Generate content that could constitute professional advice (medical, legal, financial, engineering) and present it as authoritative;
• Generate, distribute, or use AI-generated misinformation about parts, vehicles, or safety;
• Systematically generate large volumes of AI-generated content for spamming purposes.

2.3 Data and API Abuse

You may not:

• Systematically collect, harvest, or scrape data from the Platform, including user profiles, parts data, community content, or pricing data;
• Use Platform data to build a competing product or service;
• Access the Platform's APIs except through officially documented and authorized means;
• Exceed reasonable rate limits for API or data requests in a manner that disrupts Platform performance for others;
• Use Platform data in ways that violate the privacy rights of other users.

2.4 Content Violations

You may not use the Platform to:

• Post, transmit, or distribute content that violates the Community Guidelines;
• Infringe any intellectual property rights of third parties;
• Engage in fraud, deception, or impersonation;
• Operate multiple accounts to evade bans or gain unfair advantage;
• Engage in coordinated inauthentic behavior, including artificial amplification of content or accounts.

2.5 Commercial and Competitive Abuse

You may not:

• Use the Platform for unauthorized commercial solicitation, multilevel marketing, or pyramid schemes;
• Use the Platform to sell or promote counterfeit, stolen, or illegal parts or products;
• Use the Platform to conduct competitor analysis intended to harm the Company's business;
• Re-sell or commercialize access to the Platform without express written authorization.

2.6 Vehicle Safety and Legal Compliance

You may not use the Platform to:

• Facilitate, plan, or coordinate illegal street racing or reckless driving;
• Share instructions for defeating emissions control systems in vehicles intended for on-road use in jurisdictions where this is prohibited;
• Provide advice designed to allow vehicles to operate illegally on public roads;
• Promote or facilitate modifications that disable required safety systems (airbags, seatbelts, ABS) in vehicles intended for street use.

3. Resource Use

3.1 You agree not to use the Platform in a way that places an unreasonable or disproportionate load on our infrastructure, including through denial-of-service attacks, mass account creation, or automated excessive requests.

3.2 The Company reserves the right to impose rate limits, throttle usage, or restrict access to users or systems that exceed reasonable resource usage thresholds.

4. Enforcement

4.1 Violations of this AUP may result in:

• Immediate suspension or termination of account access;
• Legal action including injunctive relief and monetary damages;
• Referral to law enforcement where violations constitute criminal activity;
• Cooperation with third-party rights holders in pursuing claims.

5. Reporting Violations

5.1 To report suspected violations of this AUP, including abuse of the AI features or platform infrastructure, contact us at apollocompanionlegal@gmail.com or use the in-app Report or Bug Report features.

6. Changes

6.1 The Company may update this AUP as the Platform evolves. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated AUP.
